A 1972 graduate of the DuCret School of Art, Tony, an avid fisherman andSalt Water Fly Fishing guide (holds the World's Record for catching thelargest Striped Bass, 73 pounds, from the surf) paints to capture the peaceand serenity of the woods, water, sand and surf.

His watercolors were chosen by Margot Page for the cover and insideillustrations of her book "LITTLE RIVERS" Tales of a Woman Angler, publishedby Lyons & Burford.

Subsequently, Avon Books, NY, NY commissioned him to paint a watercolor fortheir paperback version of LITTLE RIVERS. His painting also won thecompetition among Avon Books artists and illustrators to grace the cover oftheir annual promotional catalog. Avon Books also commissioned him to paintfour different covers for the long awaited sequel to one of the most belovednovels of all time, WATERSHIP DOWN. His paintings were shown in a one manshow at The American Museum of Fly Fishing, and have been well received atthe many benefit auctions of the Museum and the Miramichi SalmonAssociation. One of his paintings was chosen to become the cover of theOrleans Vacation Guide, another was chosen for the 3rd AnnualBanquet/Auction program of the Coastal Conservation Association -Connecticut, and the cover of the November, 1996 issue of FISHERIESmagazine.

In a review (Fly Fisherman, Feb. 1996) of the book "LITTLE RIVERS";

"LITTLE RIVERS is briliantly illustrated by the deft impressionism of AntonStetzko's watercolors, by far the finest artwork I have seen in a recentflyfishing book and deserving of a volume of its own".
